SPSS Topics Discussion > Comparing beta values from separate regression analysis

Hi,

I have carried out 5 separate multiple linear regression analysis, all were identical apart from changing my dependent variable. The independent variable of interest and all other covariates remained the same each time. Both the dependent and the independent variable are continuous and on a scale e.g. a score of 0-3, 0-70 etc.

By doing this, I wish to a. see which dependent variables are associated with the independent and b. compare the strength of these associations.

To compare the strength of the associations, I have been comparing the beta values of my independent variable across each regression with a different dependent variable. However, these beta values seem to depend on the different scales of my dependent variables. How can I make it so that all my analysis and beta values are comparable?

Thanks in advance,

Laura
