A few things you can do:
1) plot the standardized residuals (y-axis) against the predicted values from regression(x-value) and that will check for heterscedasticity
2) you can plot the residuals with a histogram and see if they are normally distributed
3) you can include the residuals in a correlation matrix with your predictors, to see if there are problems there
