Misc. Stats Topics Discussion > Significance testing

We have lab analytical results for a certified reference material, CRM (we are a lab that tests soil for metals contaimination). Our results fall outside precision targets set by a client and we have been advised if we do some significance testing on our data it may be accepted by the client. The CRM has a defined standard deviation provided by the supplier. We have 100+ data points, any suggestions for what to do?

    Hey John,

If you have a specific question about statistics, I'm happy to try to answer it for you, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be appropriate for me to give you advise about your business decision. Again, if you have specific questions about a statistical concept, I'm happy to try to help. I hope you are well.

    Best.

    Jeremy
