Regression Discussion > Which test to use
Additionally---I am defending my thesis in June and need to get this analysis conducted within the next few days in order to get my thesis to my committee in time. Your help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Hi SS!
Thank you for posting. It sounds like you do need to run a repeated measures analysis. You might consider running a repeated measures GLM. You could check-out my tutorial I posted in April of last year about repeated measures analysis in SPSS:
How to Conduct a Repeated Measures MANCOVA in SPSS
I hope that helps!

Great, Thanks!! I am also wondering about analyzing subsets of a group variable?
I currently have a between-subjects factor group (high medium low group) -- -and would like to carry out a correlation between just the "high" participants and their change in weight from one time point to another. I'd like to do the same for the "medium" group and the "low group"
Could you help me with this?
Thanks!

Thanks for your question! You could use SPSS's "Select" function to select each factor group individually and conduct the analyses, or you could conduct analyze an interaction (TIME x GROUP) in the context of a repeated measures analysis to see if they rate of change varies by group (I'd tend to prefer the this option, if you have enough power).

Hi Jeremy,
I am currently working with a dataset from a weight-loss intervention. All participants were measured on weight and BMI over the course of an intervention. All participants also filled out a questionnaire, of which I have created a composite score of their answers for the total questionnaire and each factor on the questionnaire.
My goal is to observe the relationship between the change in participants weight and their score on the questionnaire (total and also on each factor)over the entire trial. I would like to look to see if a change in weight depends on a change in questionnaire score. Specifically, if a higher score is related to decrease in weight. I have created change scores for different time points for weight and for questionnaire scores.
I know that this is a repeated measures, however I am unsure how to set this up in SPSS.
Thanks!
